William Glaeser Obituary

Bill Glaeser, age 58, husband of Liz, of Woodbury, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Peachtree City, Georgia. The visitation will be held from 4PM to 7 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023, at O’Halloran and Murphy Woodbury Funeral Home (8700 Valley Creek Rd, Woodbury, MN 55125).  A celebration of life will be held at a future date at the Glaeser Farm near Gibbon, Minnesota.

William (Bill) Arthur Glaeser was born on February 3, 1965, in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. He was the son of Dean and Ellen (Bushard) Glaeser. He graduated from Gibbon High School in 1983. Bill attended and played football under Coach Fred Moyer at Normandale Community College. He then attended University of Wisconsin – Stout where he played NCAA Division III Football and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in 1989. In 2007, he received a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems from the University of St. Thomas.

On August 28th, 1993, Bill was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Cobbs. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Jack, Molly, Alex, Nick, and Trent, who were raised in Woodbury, Minnesota. Bill was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed coaching and supporting his children’s sports and activities. Bill was a people-person to the highest degree, which gave him the opportunity to talk to and meet people from all walks of life. He was a kind person and avid sports fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed helping his brothers with projects at the Glaeser Farm near Gibbon, and spending quality family time at the lake.

Bill worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and held several managerial positions throughout his career at Anderson Corporation and Medtronic. He joined Phillips-Medisize in 2015 as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. In 2019, he was tasked with building the St. Croix Meadows Facility from ground up and continued as Plant Manager there until 2022. An opportunity with Rinnai American Corporation as Director/Plant Manager led Bill and Liz to take on a new adventure and they moved to Peachtree City, GA in August 2022. Bill was known for developing people and helping them pursue their passions. Bill embraced challenges and created solutions. He took great pride in helping others find their own success.

Bill passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Peachtree City, GA, at the age of 58 years, 3 months, and 4 days. Blessed be his memory.

Bill is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Cobbs) Glaeser; children; Jack (Liz), Molly (Maxx) Omar, Alex, Nick, and Trent; siblings and spouses; Monica (Johnny) Younghein, Susan (Myron) Jones, Gerry (Char), Peter (Kris), David (Kay), Thomas (Cheryl), and Karen (Terry) Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law; Deborah (Kirk) Zahrbock, Bill (Michele) Cobbs, Robert (Heather) Cobbs. And many nephews, nieces, and their children.
