Timothy Patrick Dyrhaug passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.
Timothy Patrick Dyrhaug was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and ultimately built a beautiful life there, choosing the city as the place to raise his own family. Throughout his life, Tim’s infectious comedic personality and undeniable charm were truly the core of who he was, and this wonderful sense of humor will be the memory everyone who knew him will forever cherish. In 1966, Tim proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army, actively serving for two years before receiving an honorable discharge due to a service-related injury. His greatest joy was his family; in 1967, he married the love of his life, Mary Lou, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years.
Following his military service, Tim dedicated 42 years to a successful career as an insurance agent with State Farm. His professional success was largely attributed to his charm and humor. For many years, the big Tim Dyrhaug State Farm sign on the corner of St. Clair and Cretin was a source of pride for his family and an important landmark within the community.
His favorite place was the family's cabin in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. Wonderful memories were sharing simple pleasures like swimming, bonfires, and, of course, countless hours spent fixing the boats.
Tim will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary Lou; their children: Timothy Jr. (Kristin), David (Michelle), Lisa Ferrell, and Melissa (Paul Ocel); He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Grace; his brothers, Denny, Terry, and Rick; and his grandson, Jason Jr.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 29th at 10AM with an hour visitation prior at Lumen Christi Catholic Community (2055 Bohland Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55116). Private burial to take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
