Therese Marie Skweres (Byrne) age 78 of Burnsville, MN, passed away January 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Therese is survived by her two children Bob Skweres and Sarah DeSpiegelaere; daughter-in-law Megan; two grandchildren Nicholas and Rebecca; siblings Mike (Nancy) Byrne; Katie Wagner; Ellen (Steve) Schutz; Kevin (Bonita) Byrne; and lifelong friends Tom & Tina Sutton.  Therese was a retired nurse who was an avid fan of any sport her grandchildren played and a huge lover of reading. She loved British mysteries and cooking shows; her dogs; St. Patrick’s day. Therese loved to cook new recipes she discovered on Facebook. Therese displayed kindness & empathy to all she met, and loved.  She will be sorely missed by all. 

Visitation will be Sunday January 25th, at O’Halloran & Murphy 575 South Snelling Avenue, (St.Paul) from 2pm to 4pm (words from the grandchildren at 2:30), followed by a Celebration of Life at Gabe’s by the Park located at 991 Lexington Pkwy North. (St.Paul) from 4pm - 8pm.
