Taylor John Sweeley, age 34, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at his home in Blaine, MN, losing his long battle with addiction and mental health demons.
Taylor is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Lux and Olivia and his dogs, Ruby and Frankie. They were his pride and joy and he loved being their dad more than anything in this world. They will forever have their guardian angel dad watching over them. Taylor is also survived by his parents, Dave and Beth Sweeley, sister Mackenzie Sweeley, his soulmate and best friend, Lauren Cox and her family and Lux’s mom, Chelsea Ruane. Taylor was loved and supported by many including his Aunts and Uncles, Bridget and Ryan Gilman, Lindsey and Chris Hannon, Janet and Craig Rex and Scott and Laura Sweeley and their children.
Preceding Taylor in death are his grandparents, Mike and Pat Gartner and Ron and Jean Sweeley. We are at peace knowing Taylor is free from his demons and wrapped in the arms of his grandparents.
Taylor spent his last couple years of life working as a bartender at Billy’s Bar and Grill in Anoka where he loved serving his regulars and striking up conversations with everyone and anyone.
In Taylor’s memory, let’s all continue to work on breaking down the stigma of addiction and mental health issues. “The chains of addiction are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken. “
