Susan Colleen (Murray) Murphy 

October 31, 1944, to December 23, 2025 

Susan C. (Murray) Murphy, Age 81, of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on December 23, 2025.  Susan was born to Raymond and Audrey Murray in St. Paul where she spent the entirety of her life, retiring from the St. Paul School district in 2003, creating many lasting bonds and fond memories along the way. 

Susan is survived by her faithful companions Bitsy and Chachi, as well as her daughters Pamela Murphy-Buelow (Jeffery), Noreen Murphy, Rebecca Murphy-Edgeworth (Tyrice): her grandchildren Jon Lobeck-Martin (Kevin), Emily Brisbin Madison Bishop, Mason Bishop, McKale Bishop, Elijah Murphy and cherished friends and extended family with a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews.  An honorable mention to Aaliyah and Ty Jr. who brought a smile to her face every day. 

Susan, a woman of grace and dignity, spent her life being a strong, independent, kind, and supportive person.  She loved going out to lunch, a brisk walk around Como Lake, a good John Grisham book, and an occasional trip to Treasure Island.  We will cherish the lessons she taught, the love she shared, and all she sacrificed for us. 

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 11th from 1-4pm.  Please come to share stories and light refreshments.  

A private family burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date, where Susan will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Stephen R. Murphy. 
 

Visitation: 1:00–3:00 p.m.

Eulogy: 3:00–3:30 p.m.

Final Farewells: 3:30–4:00 p.m.
