Susan Korf

Susan Atzmiller Korf age 69 of Stacy MN, formerly of South Maplewood, unexpectedly left for her heavenly home on March 24th.

Sue was a 1969 graduate of Saint Bernard’s, and a long time member at Saint Pascal’s. Sue will be remembered for the things she enjoyed most such as baking goodies for the church bake sale, filling up multiple tins with Christmas goodies for anyone and everyone, hosting and attending gatherings for the women's club, fishing at her lake cabin, playing cards until the wee hours of the morning, perfectly wrapped gifts with hand made in-destructible ribbon bows, curling up with a good book, being a talented seamstress, being an animated storyteller, rivaling Wolfgang Puck with her mad cooking and baking skills, and thoughtfully cooking and hosting numerous dinners for family, friends, and even strangers. She welcomed everyone into her home to "break bread" and if you left her house hungry, that was your fault.

Sue was greeted in heaven by her father, Len Atzmiller; Father in law, Walter Korf; Mother in law, Angeline Korf; beloved step mother, Betty Korf; her brothers in law, Mike Leuer, Greg LaCroix and Steve Anderson. Sue will be sorely missed by her Mother, MaryAnn Atzmiller of Cottage Grove; her devoted husband of 48 years, Rodney Korf of Stacy; daughter, Emily Korf (Bill) of Saint Paul; her pride and joy, granddaughter Bertie; brother, Richard (Pam) Atzmiller of Balsam Lake; sisters, Chris Ross of Woodbury, Leanne Anderson of Red Wing; sisters-in-law, Karen Leuer of Saint Paul, Leann Lacroix of Chisago, Marie (Steve) West of Hackensack, and Eileen (Dennis) Scott of Coon Rapids.

Walk-through visitation will be 4-8pm Monday March 29th at O'Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home in Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Pascal Baylon Church at 10:30am CST Tuesday March 30th and available on live stream at https://youtu.be/Mmknca2W8bE. Burial at Fort Snelling, and private luncheon back at the church to follow. Due to covid restrictions, there is additional public seating up to 75 people. Please go to StPascals.org to register.
