Sieglinde Bier

Sieglinde Bier,

Age 77, of St. Paul, Minnesota passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025. Sieglinde was born July 22, 1947, to Franz and Centa Bier in Mering, Germany. In 1956 the family immigrated to Duluth, Minnesota. She was married to David Jensen on July 13, 1974. They remained in St. Paul, but spent some of their retired winters in Fort Myers, Florida and traveling internationally.

After earning a degree in economics and later an MBA, Sieglinde worked for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for her entire professional career, over 40 years. She was an avid reader who belonged to a book club consisting of friends from the Duluth area for several decades.

Sieglinde is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, David Jensen; son, Chris Jensen; daughter-in-law, Kelly Jensen; grandchildren, Andrew and Mary Jensen; sister-in-law, Ruth Bier; cousin, Edith (Joe) Klemm, and nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Albert Bier.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Episcopal Homes and HealthPartners Hospice for their compassionate care.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Church of the Assumption, St.Paul, MN with a visitation one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Friends of Library, St. Paul Public Library in Sieglinde’s name.
