Sarys M. Gomez-Lira

Sarys, age 56, passed away in her home surrounded by loving family members on August 22, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Ricardo and their son, Alessandro. She is also survived by her mother, her siblings, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. The youngest of five siblings, Sarys was raised in Puerto Rico until she moved to Miami at the age of 15. She attended the University of Miami, where she studied computer science and would eventually meet her husband Ricardo. After their marriage, Sarys and her husband moved to Minnesota, where she started a career at the 3M Company that lasted 26 years as a Supply Chain Analyst. Sarys was an incredibly kind and caring woman who touched the hearts of every person she met. An avid puzzle-lover, she could always be found working on crosswords, sudokus, and other logic challenges in her spare time. Sarys had a passion for music and donating to charities. A wake with visitation will occur on Wednesday, August 26 from 4-8 PM at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 8700 Valley Creek Rd, Woodbury 55125. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 27 at 3 PM at St. Ambrose of Woodbury Church, 125 Woodbury Dr, Woodbury 55129. A private interment of her ashes will occur the following day at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights at 11 AM.
