Sandra "Sandy" Bliss Obituary

Bliss, Sandra Lee “Sandy”

March 20, 1942 – February 10, 2025

Sandy Bliss of Roseville was affectionately known to many as Grandma Sandy, not just because of her family ties, but because of the way she loved. To know her was to feel cherished, seen, and valued.

She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Sandy had a servant’s heart, always seeking ways to uplift, nurture, and serve others. Whether through a lovingly prepared meal, a meticulous wrapped gift with a beautiful bow, or simply her radiant presence, she ensured everyone around her felt at home and loved. Her hands were rarely still—always cooking, helping, embracing, or giving. She found true joy in serving others, never expecting anything in return.

Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. She had a gift for making even the simplest moments feel special, whether it was through a shared meal, a joyful conversation, or the way she made every guest, even perfect strangers, feel like family. Her fashion sense was impeccable, her hospitality unmatched, her loving kindness deeply felt by all.

Sandy’s legacy is one of love in action. She leaves behind a lifetime of selfless giving, countless hearts touched by her kindness, and a family forever blessed by the love that she gave. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her love will continue to shine through the lives of those she so dearly cherished.

She was welcomed into eternity by her beloved parents, Phillip and Lorraine Follmer.

Sandy’s love will live on through her devoted husband of 62 years, Phillip; her children, Scott (Sheri) and Brenda (Russ) Heath; her grandchildren, Daniel (Min), Zachary (Madilyn), Leah (Asif), Ashton (Chad), and Austin (Kate); and her great-grandchildren, Grayson, Milo, Auden, Edna, Emma, Nola, and Hadley. She will also be lovingly remembered by her cherished cousin, Laureen (Mike) Jansky; her dear friend, Karen Wurst; and the countless others whose lives she touched with her boundless love.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 9-10:30 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30 AM at Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave., Roseville, MN. Her earthly resting place will be at Roselawn Cemetery, a place of remembrance and love.
