Ruth Dorothea Salvaggio, age 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, dear friend, and faithful servant of Jehovah whose kindness and strength touched many lives.
Born on November 22, 1942 in Jamaica, Queens, NYC, Ruth lived a life centered on faith, family, and compassion. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she found great joy in sharing her beliefs, encouraging others, and living according to Bible principles. Her faith gave her comfort, purpose, and hope throughout her life.
She was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her children and family. Whether through a comforting conversation, a home-cooked meal, or quiet acts of kindness, she made those around her feel deeply loved and cared for.
Ruth enjoyed time in the ministry, playing the piano, baking and she treasured time spent with her family and congregation. Her wisdom, patience, and loving guidance will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Donnie (Audrey), Brian (Denise), Tony (Kim), Danny (BobbieJo), Gina, Debi (Geoff), her 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Port Richey, FL where family and friends will be invited to remember and celebrate her life and faith.
Though she will be greatly missed, her loved ones find comfort in the Bible’s promise at John 5:28, 29 and the hope of seeing her again in Jehovah’s promised new world.
