Robert “Bob” Halter, Sr., 92 years, passed on July 26, 2025, at St. Therese of Woodbury. He was a special loving husband to Patricia “Pat” for 70 years. Bob served in the Army 1953-1955 and was an active member of the American Legion Post 501. He retired after 30 years of employment at Ecolab. Bob was known for his kindness, generosity and caring ways; most importantly, his precious smile that could light up a room.
Bob was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy, Betty and Barbara. Survived by wife Pat, daughter Mary Pat (Dick) Weber, son Bob Jr. (Cathy), granddaughters Laura, Sarah and Rebecca, sisters Lorrie Pommerening and Bev (Larry) McGuinn; sister-in-law Michaeline Raymond, many nieces and nephews; extended family Joan and Marvin Marshall and Barb and Dale Johnson. A special thanks to nephew Jeff, nieces Michelle and Shelly and special friend Barb for their extra support to both Bob and Pat. Thanks to St. Therese staff and St. Croix Hospice for their loving, kind and supportive care.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church (8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove) on Thursday, October 9. Visitation 9:30am-11am; Mass at 11am. Burial at Ft. Snelling on October 10. Memorials preferred.
