Robert J. Eisbach, age 76 of St. Paul, MN passed away on April 28, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on December 27, 1949 in Dubuque, IA.
Bob attended the University of Iowa and played football for the Hawkeyes.
He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving as a First Force Reconnaissance in Vietnam. He was proud to serve his country. After returning from Vietnam, he attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He also attended William Mitchell College of Law. After graduating from William Mitchell, he practiced law in St. Paul until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane, his children Tyler Eisbach (Jennifer), Lindsay Eisbach (Trevor), Alexis Lettelleir (Shawn), Sydney Burke (Brian), and his five grandchildren Reese Lettelleir, Mason Lettelleir, Madeleine Eisbach, Ben Burke and Ava Burke.
He is preceded in death by parents Karl and Marion Eisbach and his beloved sister Judi Chandlee.
A memorial service will be Thursday, May 7 at 11:00, with a visitation to follow after the service with Father Dan Haugan officiating, at the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel, 1 Tower Ave, Minneapolis, MN.
He will be buried with Military Honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in June.
We are grateful for the many doctors and nurses at the VA Medical Center, especially the ICU unit.
Our Bob will be forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and so much love for his family and friends.
