Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Friend

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dick Pohl, age 69, on December 12, 2021.

He went home to be with Jesus and was welcomed by those who preceded him in death: his parents, Robert and Josephine Pohl; brother, Bob; son, baby Charlie; sister-in-law, Barb Tierney McMahon, brother-in-law, Scott Tierney.

He will be deeply missed by those who survive him: his loving wife of 41 years, Carol “Kay”; son, Brian; siblings, Bill (Teresa), Gerri, Judy (Greg) Barilla, Jane; siblings in law; nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Dick grew up in St Paul, graduated from St Agnes High School, in 1970. Dick was a proud member of the St Paul Scouts Drum & Bugle Corp for 11 years. He spent most of his working career in the newspaper industry as a dedicated and loyal employee at the St Paul Pioneer Press and Mpls Star Tribune. He loved retirement, talking sports every day with son Brian, cooking, family gatherings, sharing time with friends and great neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 7^th, at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville, MN at 11:30 AM with a visitation beginning at 10:30.
