Paul Silliman Charlton, 80, of Woodbury, Minnesota passed peacefully April 15, 2025
due to Huntington’s disease. Paul was born February 4, 1945, in Hibbing, Minnesota to
Donald and Mary Charlton. For his first 4 years he lived in Salem, Massachusetts. Then
he lived in Hibbing through high school. He and his friends would ski straight down the iron
ore dumps. In high school he lettered in cross country. During the Vietnam War, he
enlisted in the Navy. His tour was Guam and Virginia Beach. Paul married Beverly
Ruth Knutson in Chetek, Wisconsin on June 14, 1975. He completed his education at
University of Wisconsin River Falls. He was employed at 3M in St. Paul for 33 years. Paul
enjoyed biking, boating, especially slalom water skiing and drag racing. At the racetrack,
he drove a ‘64 Chevrolet Impala that had been given to him by his Aunt Frances Silliman.
He is survived by his wife Bev, daughter Sarah (Mark) Dufresne, son Jason Paul
Charlton (Courtney Dilley), grandchildren Graham and Waverly Dufresne. Sister
Leslie (Mike) Krmpotich, nephew Christopher (Margaret) Nornberg.
Paul will be interred in Fort Snelling.
