Patrick Joseph Dirksen

Age 43, of St. Paul, MN. Passed away September 9, 2023. Beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Graduate of Mounds View High School (1998) and Saint John’s University (2002). Pat worked for Ecolab for 15 years, first in Customer Service and most recently in Supply Chain Management. Pat lost his battle with alcohol addiction, but it did not define him. He will be remembered as a good, kind, supportive, and thoughtful guy. He had a twinkle in his eyes and his presence could light up a room. He found joy in watching college football and basketball, creating his small batch hot sauce business, and consistently getting the high score in word games. Pat enjoyed family trips to the North Shore, tossing around a football, and sampling barbeque across the country. He shared a strong bond with his nieces and nephew, playing games, reading books, and telling jokes. He was generous with his time and always willing to help. Preceded in death by grandparents Richard and Agnes Ryan and Wayne and Dorothy Dirksen. Survived by parents Joseph and Mary, brother Michael (Kristin), nieces Natalie and Amelia, nephew Samuel, sister Erin, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We will celebrate his life on Sunday, October 15 from 1-4:30pm at Keller Clubhouse, 2166 Maplewood Dr, Maplewood MN 55109. Remembrance at 3:30. Casual attire encouraged. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to NAMI Minnesota or a charity of your choice.
