A strong and loving force of nature, Patricia Clare Traynor passed away after nearly 82 years of making people laugh out loud with her razor-sharp sense of humor.  When you spent time with Pat, you felt better about yourself and the world.

Pat was an amazing mom to Mark (Jen), Megan (Jimmy), Bob (Beth) and Cathy (Paul), and an unforgettable grandma to Johanna, Liam, Allie, Grace, Brigid, Ronan and Leo. She was a devoted sister to her surviving brother and sisters Barney, Mary, Judith, and Josephine. She now has joined her dear parents Bo and Virginia and her brothers Bob and Mike and sister Betty.

Pat shared her love beyond her family to wonderful friends who appreciated her fierce support and competitive bridge skills. She gave back to her community through many volunteer activities, including her dedicated work at a St. Paul food shelf for several years. At her longtime employer Macalester College, she was another mom for so many students who needed a jolly rancher and a smile, and she was a loyal colleague and confidant to many.

Pat was silly and unfiltered but always was serious about her unwavering love of her family. While it’s hard to think of this world without her, it is easy to know that she will be with us in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life will take place the day after her birthday, February 15, 2025 at Como Lakeside Pavilion/Dock and Paddle, 1360 Lexington Parkway North, St. Paul.  There will be a visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. A light lunch also will be served after the program.
