With great sorrow and profound hope in the mercy of God, we announce the passing of Patrice “Patti” Doran into eternal life on July 18, 2025. Patrice Carla Hofmann was born in Sauk Centre, MN in 1955 and was raised in Albany, MN. In her early adult years, she worked with adults with disabilities, for whom she had a lifelong love and appreciation. On April 9, 1983, she married the love of her life, Dennis, and they settled down in Richfield, where they raised their five children. She found her greatest joy in her vocation as a wife and mother and shared that joy with those around her.

Patti loved all children and especially her grandchildren. She would regularly treat them to “Grammie Days”, featuring multiple backyard pools and an overdose of sugar. She remembered every birthday and sacrament with thoughtful gifts and devotedly attended as many performances and games as possible. In her parish and community, she was an honorary grandmother, remembering even more birthdays and delighting in the antics of the babies in nearby pews, especially the “schnooky” ones.

Patti had a deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist and a strong devotion to Our Lady and the Saints. Prayer was a central part of her life. Every morning, she prayed through a list of names and intentions she kept in a notebook. Whenever possible, she attended daily Mass and received Holy Communion. Patti was blessed with a rare balance of moral strength and courage, combined with a truly loving demeanor. She was someone you could turn to for consolation and wisdom.

She persevered in her faith and trust in God’s plan throughout her long battle with leukemia. In the week before her passing, she was able to receive the sacraments and share special moments with each of her children and grandchildren. Our broken hearts rejoice knowing that she is now reunited with her dear son John, and her precious granddaughter Malia.

Patti is preceded in death by her son John; granddaughter Malia; parents, Verona and Joseph Hofmann; parents-in-law, Eileen and Lawrence Doran; Constance Doran; Ben Doran; Anselmo Natalicchio; and Richard Meyers.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Dennis; children: Joseph (Gabrielle), Timothy (Callie), Anthony (Krista), and Rachel (Evan); grandchildren: Madeline, Leo, Chloe, Fiona, Colette, Benjamin, Timothy, Hugh, Lola, Elodie, Amara, Steven, Gabriel, Maximilian, and Samuel; siblings: Kathleen (Charles), Constance, Janice (Charles), Jeff (Nancy), Vicki (Don), and Paula (Jeff); and brothers and sisters-in-law: Mary (Don), Jeanne, Anne (Tom), Alice (Jim), Larry (Teri), John, Theresa (Mark), Maggie, and Bob (Michele).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd from 4:00-7:00PM at O’Halloran & Murphy, 575 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul, MN 55116. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 4th at 10:00AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5900 W. Lake St., St. Louis Park, MN 55416. Rosary will precede the Mass at 9:30AM. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
