Nancy May (née Doane) Denning

Nancy May (née Doane) Denning, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. In her lifetime, Nancy was defined by her devotion to her husband and children. Nancy gave selflessly, always putting others first. She had a warm, joyful spirit whose kindness, humor and generous heart touched the lives of so many. Nancy was an amazing cook, life of the party and enjoyed dancing! She also was an exceptional “nana” known for her epic sleepovers and the way she made each grandkids’ birthday feel magical.  Nancy is survived by her children Heather (Joe) Krieger, Wes (Brenda) Denning, and Jamie (Brian) McQuillan; grandchildren Lily, JD and Chase Krieger, Dallas, Riley, Shea and Wynter Denning, Logan, Ashton, Cooper and Ozzie McQuillan; and her sister and best friend Patricia McDonald. She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Denning; her parents Charles and Nellie Doane; siblings Charles (Jean) Doane, Robert (Rose) Doane, Donald Doane, MaryLou Coutlee (Chuck Todora), Dorthy (George) Ficocello. Nancy was a living celebration of life who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered-always. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Tuesday, September 16 at Church of the Assumption, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul with visitation beginning at 9am.
