Moses "Dick" Richard Delapaz,
Born on July 26, 1928, passed away on December 17, 2025. Dick was the beloved husband of the late Margaret "Marg" Davern Delapaz (April 2025) for 44 years. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Delapaz(1939), John I. Delapaz (2008), and Natalie Delapaz Le Febvre (2022), and his first wife, Gloria (1978). Dick is survived by his siblings, Mary Lou Martinez and Bernard Delapaz (Giovanna), many nieces and nephews as well as dear friends in Florida, Minnesota, and Chicago. A proud veteran, Dick served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was awarded a service medal in 1951. Following his military services, he enjoyed a long and successful career at 3M, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike through his genuine warmth, his natural ability to connect with people, and his unwavering professionalism. After being widowed, Dick found love again when he married Marg Davern in 1981. Together they relocated to southeast Florida, where they spent the next forty years as active and devoted members of their parish and community. An avid golfer and tennis player, Dick also cherished his daily walks with Marg and time spent outdoors. The couple returned to St. Paul in 2022 to be near their loving Davern and Delapaz families. Dick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and those who knew and took wonderful care of him at the Marvella retirement community in St. Paul.
