Molly Berg Obituary

Molly Ann Berg, 56, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family and dogs on May 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Born on May 29, 1969, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Molly was adopted into the loving Cunniff family of Highland Park, St. Paul. Raised to emulate empathy and compassion for others, she spent her youth in St. Paul Catholic Schools, graduating in the final class from Derham Hall High School and then, earning her degree from Saint Catherine University.

Upon entering the workforce, Molly embarked on an exemplary 28-year career as a sales account manager with US Foods. It was in that position that she was able to use her true gifts as a person to cultivate genuine, meaningful relationships with both coworkers and customers. People were drawn to Molly because of her positivity, integrity, and dedication to servicing the needs of those she represented.

Molly’s business successes and relationships were truly remarkable. As a top 1% salesperson at US Foods, earning multiple Presidents’ Cup awards, she became a fixture on top-performers list not just in Minnesota, but across US Foods national network. This, however, was not the only way she succeeded in her career. The relationships formed through her work flourished into true friendships, most notably, with team members of Kowalski’s Markets. She worked hand in hand with them to grow their business into one of the strongest most recognized grocery chains in the state of Minnesota.

While Molly’s business accomplishments were impressive, her greatest source of pride and happiness was the birth of her daughter, Paige. Molly was able to channel her joy into raising and nurturing Paige. The pinnacle of a life filled with joy was seeing Paige grow into an exceptional woman.

Molly found true love when she met and married Tom Klein, another product of St. Paul Catholic Schools. In earlier times, they traveled in similar circles, but never connected. It was fate that they found each other later in life. Together, with her daughter Paige, and Tom’s three children, they blended into a loving, caring family. She fully embraced her new roll as a dedicated mother to Gabriel, Devin and Elizabeth. They will all continue to carry forward the love that Molly bestowed upon them.

Molly was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Eleanor Cunniff (Hanousek)

She is survived by her daughter, Paige Berg; husband, Tom; step-children, Gabriel, Devin and Elizabeth; brothers, Gerald (Elizabeth), William (Kari); sister, Margaret; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A visitation for Molly will be held from 4-7pm on Saturday, May 9, at O’Halloran and Murphy funeral home in St. Paul. A celebration of Molly’s life will immediately follow the visitation at Lucky 13’s in Mendota Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the following: The American Cancer Society, Cretin-Derham Hall, Totino-Grace High School, Saint Thomas Academy and Visitation School.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude for the staff at Minnesota Oncology and the team members of Hospice of the Midwest.

Molly’s kind spirit, generosity and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, many friends, and all who knew her.
