Mitchell Caron Obituary

Mitchell Gerard Caron, 60 years old, left this world peacefully on June 25th, 2026 surrounded by
his loving family at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home.

Mitchell was born on November 8th, 1965, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the son of August and
Patricia Caron. The youngest of eight, he grew up in St. Paul where he loved playing sports and
running around with friends from the neighborhood. After graduating from Cretin High School,
he studied Business and graduated from University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Mitchell went on to
pursue a career in general contracting, a profession to which he dedicated more than 30 years.
For the last nine years of his career, he worked alongside his wife, Julie, and together they
found great joy in renovating homes side-by-side. Recognized for his skill, generosity, and
willingness to lend a helping hand, Mitchell was often the first-person family, friends, and
neighbors turned to when they needed advice or assistance with a household project.

Mitchell was known for his kind demeanor and steadfastness. He was positive and optimistic
during his brave 19-month fight with pancreatic cancer and never lost his sense of humor.
Mitchell had many passions in life, including playing and watching golf, preparing his famous
Eggs Benedict on holiday mornings, and sharing his appreciation for the work of architect Frank
Lloyd Wright with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife Julie; his son Jack (Kenzie) and their two children Emma and
August; his daughter Jessica; and his stepchildren Grace McKissick (Scott), Sullivan Brooks, and Beau Brooks; siblings Mark, Michelle “Missy” (Robert Thompson), Michael, Molly Donovan (Kevin), Matty (Michelle), Meghan Bondy (Steve), Marty (Kathy) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mitchell’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Our
Lady of Peace Hospice and Home Health Care, and to all who offered their prayers, love and
support throughout his illness.
