Michael Owen Helling

Helling, Michael O., age 76, of Roseville passed away on April 11, 2026. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Audrey (Paschke) Helling and his sister, Kathleen. Michael is survived by his companion of 28 years, Anne Odberg; sisters, Patricia and Nancy, niece, Sarah and nephew, Mark. Born in Pipestone, MN, graduated from Frank B. Kellogg High School, and then earned a Graphic Arts Certificate from St. Paul Tech. Michael owned several businesses from 1984-2015 including Video Hut, Rack’Em Up Billiards, and MGM Liquor Warehouse. He was an avid hockey and baseball fan, player, collector, umpire as well as a MN Wild season ticket holder. He enjoyed summer and ice fishing in Minnesota and Canada, worked as a fishing guide, participated in yearly fishing tournaments supporting ALS, and in 1997 purchased a home on North Center Lake in Center City, MN where he loved to entertain. Later in life Michael moved back to Roseville to retire with his companion. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 4pm with visitation 1 hour prior at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave. N.  Donations supporting those with ALS can be made to Never Surrender Inc. at neversurrenderinc.org
