Orme, Mary K. (Kileen)

Age 94, of Mendota Heights, passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in Superior, Wisconsin on September 10, 1931, Mary graduated from the University of Minnesota, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority at the University of Minnesota and remained an active member throughout her lifetime. She later earned a master’s degree in special education. Mary was a teacher in St. Paul for over 35 years. She married her husband Jack in 1954, and they went on to raise a large Irish clan including 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Her passions were spending time with her family, teaching, cooking and reading.

Survived by sisters, Jean Vucovich, Eileen Hassel (Jim Fleming); brother, Ed (Susan) Kileen; daughters, Kathleen Lindgren, Patricia Orme, Susan (Dan) Hernlem, Mary (Bill) Newell, Kileen (John) Casey; sons, John (Nancy), Steve (Vicky), Mike (Kathleen); grandchildren, Jessi (Heriberto) Cortez, Katy (Matt) Lasure, Kristen (Daylon) Faber, Erin (Rich) Hage, Chris (Katie) Hernlem, Katie (Tyler) Wilsey, Tony Orme, Patrick (Miranda) Kloos, Daniel (Laura) Orme, Stephen (Elizabeth) Orme, Sarah (Jesse) Easly, David (Laura) Orme, Kileen Lindgren, Jack (Shannon) Casey, Grace (Bo) Murray, Michael Casey, Jack Orme; great-grandchildren, Nico, Simon, James, Tori, Clare, Alice, Martin, Brigid, Vincent, Frances, Sam, Abby, Madelyn, Lilly, Will, Annabelle, Henry, Amelia, Maisy, Liam, Louie, Archer, Fletcher, Danny, Hannah, Madeline, Judd, Charlotte, James, Callan, Lachlan, Kenna, Colin and Rory.

Preceded in death by husband, John A (Jack) Orme, parents Edward and Kathryn Kileen; sisters Patricia Fleming, Margaret Emslie; brother Thomas Kileen; sisters- in- law, Sally Thompson, Margaret Harrington, Mary Rogers, Maryanne Orme, Katie Orme; brothers-in-law, Henry Orme, Bill Orme, Mark Harrington, Joseph Rogers, Dick Hassel, Dan Vucovich, George Emslie; son-in -law, Thomas Lindgren; grandson, Matthew Lindgren.

Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Assumption Catholic Church, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul. Visitation is one hour before mass at church and from 4-7 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul, (651-698-0796). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Our Lady of Peace Hospice Care, St Paul
