Mary B. Leafgren

Mary Leafgren, age 87, “Rara” to her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, surrounded by her immediate family. Mary is survived by her loving daughters Diane (Mark Rachac) and Janis (Dan O’Neill), grandson William Rachac (Maddi) and granddaughter Claire Rachac. She is also survived by her twin sister, Annette Conrad (Jim) and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving daughter, Vicki, parents, five brothers and one sister.

Mary and her family gratefully received an amazing outpouring of support from many people including the Marvella Senior Living staff, the Optage Hospice team, and her overnight caregivers, Cherie and Barb.

A celebration of Mary’s life and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Saint Casimir’s Catholic Church, 934 Geranium Avenue, St. Paul, MN, with a visitation prior to Mass from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Private interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Casimir’s Parish.

We will miss you, our beloved mom. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
