Preceded in death by parents, William Henry Friberg and Irene Agnes Search Friberg. Survived by loving brother, Fr. Daniel William Friberg; and sister, Josephine Ann (JoAnn) Friberg.

Mass of Christian Burial to be offered by her brother Fr. Daniel William Friberg Tuesday, June 29, 11AM Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 8260 4th Street North, Oakdale, MN. Preceded by visitation starting at 8:30AM. Burial will follow in Guardian Angels Church Cemetery. Luncheon catered by Lake Elmo Inn will follow in Peter O’Neill Hall.

Mary was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Catherine University, St. Cloud State University, Catholic University of America, Washington D.C.

She established Business Education Department in Prescott Senior High School, Prescott, WI in 1947. Also established Girls’ Glee Club presenting Handel’s Messiah yearly. Later became chair of Business Education Department in Hastings High School, Hastings, MN and remained so for up to 40 years – MARY LOVED TEACHING.

Traveled to Quebec City and the Shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupre in summer of 1948, and did so with her entire family every year, sometimes twice a year, until 2016. She enriched her entire family with the culture, religion, and love of French Canada.

Mary enjoyed meeting relatives several times in Danis, Switzerland and especially enjoyed praying at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes, France.

Finally, Mary was organist at Guardian Angels Church, Oakdale, MN for many years.
