Mary Louise Dresbach, born 2/17/1950; died 3/17/2024, age 74, of Mendota Heights, MN. Preceded in death by parents, Ernest “Shorty” and Kathryn Mathes; and brother John Mathes. Survived by husband: David Philip Dresbach; Stepchildren, Chad Dresbach and Andrew Dresbach; Step grandchildren, Ben Dresbach, Gabriel Dresbach and Rachael Dresbach, Alex Dresbach, Morgan Dresbach, Nephews: David Mathes, Mark Mathes, Todd Mathes, Nieces: Kim Mathes, Kathy Kelley, Karen Lunzer. Mary Lou received her BA and MA from College of St. Catherine; she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Gamma Mu.  Mary Lou began her career in education as a teacher in the St. Paul Public Schools from 1974-1977, she then worked for the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (formerly the Minnesota Higher Education Coordinating Board), 1978-2016. Over her career, her responsibilities included community outreach programs, human resources and data practices compliance and campus based programs. Mary Lou retired as Division Director.  Mary Lou had various academic articles published, she was a member of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women, The American Association of University Women, and The National Association of Female Executives. Mary Lou enjoyed reading mysteries, playing golf, traveling, and sightseeing across the U.S., Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand. She loved knitting, baking and doing fun things with her family and friends. All of us miss her dearly. Memorial Service Wed May 8 at 11:00 AM at the O'Halloran & Murphy Chapel, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul.
