Martha passed away peacefully on October 1. She is survived by her adoring husband of 69 years, Bob; her loving children, Theresa, Mary Hobson (Lee), John (Robinne), Jim (Patty), Leo (Jan), Joe (Lisa); 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Preceded in death by parents, Antonia and Stanley Yunik; siblings, Clare, Stella, Irvin, Raymond, and Esther; children, Francis and Christopher; grandson, Gordon Bartel.

Martha was a devoted caregiver for her husband and children and a dedicated registered nurse. Her nursing career began at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud and then at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis. She finished her career as the director of nurses at Rose of Sharon Nursing Home in Roseville. Martha's family was her first priority. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed entertaining. Martha had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. She was an avid MN Timberwolves and MN Twins sports fan. Martha was a devout Catholic with unswerving faith. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church since 1956 as well as a member of the 3rd Order of Carmelites.

Visitation will be held at 9am on Friday, October 6th at St. Rose of Lima Church, then a Catholic Funeral Mass at 10am. A luncheon in the parish hall will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Martha's name.
