Marjorie A. Pothen

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, age 78, of Roseville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021.  Preceded in death by Leo Pothen, her husband of 58 years; parents Joseph and Mae Smith; and brother-in-law, Tom Christenson. Survived by children Ann Marie Hawkins (Richard), John Pothen (Gerrie), Daniel Pothen (Jennifer), and Patrick Pothen (Beth); sister, Jean Smith, and brother, Richard Smith (Jan); siblings-in-law, Maryann Chandler (Harv), Marguerite Christenson-Weiss (Jerry), Kathleen Bohrer (Jim), Nick Pothen (Bev); 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was born April 3rd, 1942, and grew up on the east side of St. Paul, MN, where she attended Johnson High School. Marge married Leo on September 15th, 1962 at the Church of the Presentation, in Maplewood, MN. She worked at Sears Roebuck, Minnesota Mining, and Burlington Northern Railroad, before staying home to raise a family. Marge enjoyed playing cards and Scrabble, but her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her friends and family. A service will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima, 2048 Hamline Ave N, in Roseville. Funeral service will begin at 10:00am, with visitation one hour prior.
