Marjorie A. (nee Brown)
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother
After 97 years of leading a life guided by her unwavering faith, Marjorie passed away peacefully on September 10. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Rodger and brother Fr. Syl Brown. Survived by children Fran (Ted), Mike (Sara), Kathleen (Christine), Maureen (Mike), Mary Pat (Rich), and John (Susan). Marge was a teacher for 23 years with the St. Paul Public School District and impacted countless students, instilling a confidence that she believed they could each reach their goals if they put their mind to it. She loved cooking and was always a warm and welcoming hostess who was able come up with a delicious meal no matter if it was for a holiday or someone (or 10!) unexpectedly showed up to the house. She cherished spending time with her 14 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters and had a special tradition of making a homemade birthday cake with each of them. She was an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord parish, volunteering in numerous roles over the decades, including being Co-Chairs of the Archbishop’s Appeal with her husband Rodger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, September 17th at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1938 Stanford Ave., St Paul, with a visitation 1 hour prior. The interment will be 1:30pm at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Brown Mountain Family Advisory Fund. Click here to donate.
