HALLORAN, MARILYN JANE
Born April 27, 1944
Passed away April 9, 2024, peacefully.
Marilyn was born in Harvey, North Dakota and raised by her grandparents.
She often spoke about her experiences on their farm and the love she had
for them. She and her mother moved to St. Paul in 1950. She graduated
from Harding High School and later from the University of Minnesota with
a major in Communication in 1981, and was selected to give the final speech
at graduation. She loved cooking; and design, particularly refurbishment,
and construction; art; history; social issues, the list goes on. Her vitality and
capacity to listen and communicate made her an attractive and sought after
personality.
Her employment in 1982 was with Fort Road Medical Specialists as the
Administrator for a Consortium of 5 different medical specialties offered
a challenge she craved. By the turn of the Century the Consortium was
replaced with individual practices. She had been selected by the St Paul
Infectious Disease Associates (SPIDA) as their executive administrator.
This was a job she loved, worked at it for 30 years, and considered
the physicians part of her family.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Bill, and two daughters, Amy and Jody.
She has three grandchildren, born of Amy and Eric, Max and Greta whom she
adored, and Lauren born of Jody and Jim.
We found a note she had recently written that we were touched by:
