Marie B. (née Gasperlin) Pitzen

Age 84 of St Paul went peacefully to the Lord July 24, 2020 surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Preceded in death by beloved husband Jack; siblings Fran Sauerer, Tre, Margaret Meyer, Jerry and Joseph.
Survived by children Cathy (Allan Jensen), John (Barb), Lisa (Shawn) Garin, Mike (Sarah); Grandchildren, Bobby, Molly and Lucy; Great Grandchild, Andrew; brothers Valerius and Julian; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Marie was a devout Catholic with a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Mary. Family and friends were very important to Marie and she enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Lake Pokegema. She was a registered nurse and spent 21 years caring for the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet at Bethany Convent in St Paul.
The Pitzen family will be greeting friends and family for a public walk through visitation 6-8pm Thursday, July 30 at O’HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Please enter through the East entrance (facing Snelling Ave.) and follow all posted CDC regulations; facemasks are required. 
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am Friday, July 31 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 512 S. Albert St., St Paul. Seating will be limited. Contact O’Halloran & Murphy to view mass via Zoom. Private Burial Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
