Passed away on October 13, 2025. Preceded in death by husband, Reinhold Metzler; siblings, Emily Riemer, Molly Brandt, Dorothy Osgood, Henry Herdt, Carl Herdt Jr. Survived by son, David Metzler; grandchildren, April Marie Metzler, Brendan David Metzler, Amanda Marie Plasch; great grandchildren, Colin Plasch, and Devin Plasch. Marie lived her perfect life: Wife, stay-at-home mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Her last 11 years at Echo Ridge gave her lots of good times with her fellow residents. Reading and playing bingo twice a week were her passions. She passed away just 2 weeks after her 103rd birthday. She will be greatly missed. Inurnment, Marie and Reinhold together in a private ceremony at the Houlton Cemetery in Wisconsin.
