Age 88

Passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Preceded in death by husband Bill; daughters Karen Ruth and Mary Eileen Swanson; and sister Eileen Lee. She is survived by siblings Joan Thonet and Clem Traxler; son Larry (Deb), Glenn (Kristen) and daughter Rose Ann Wiseman (Jeff); son-in-law Mike Swanson; grandchildren Brade Garske, Kaitlyn Adam, and Matt Adam; and many loved nieces and nephews. Marian was a devoted Catholic and a member of the Ancient Order of Hiberians and the Swiss Society of Minnesota. She took great pride as a cook to the priests at St. Thomas University. She loved to cook, bake, garden, complete jigsaw puzzles and play cards. She was an avid Twins fan and loved her sports. She loved to travel and spend time with family at the cabin. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM, Friday at Nativity of Our Lord, 1938 Stanford Ave., St Paul with a visitation 1 hour prior to mass. Another visitation will be Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at O’Halloran and Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. A private interment will be at St. Henry’s Catholic Cemetery, LeSueur.
