After growing up in Beaver Dam, and spending time with her Romey grandparents on their farm in Whitewater, Margie attended St. Teresa’s College in Winona, MN, graduating with a degree in education in 1955. She moved to Minneapolis after graduation with a group of college classmates, who remained dear friends for the rest of her life. Margie married James “Jim” Schulte in 1959. Throughout her life, Margie was a force of nature and brought positive energy wherever she went. She loved any opportunity to dance, walk or socialize with friends and family! She was active in many church communities in St. Paul, including St. Marks, Nativity, Holy Spirit, and Messiah. She was also a supporter of many charities, thrift stores and non-profits including Wilder Foundation, Gillette Children’s Hospital, Sharing and Caring Hands, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, Wilderness Society, and the ACLU.
