Lucy Ann Oswald

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lucy Ann Oswald, 83, of Eagan, Minnesota on January 15, 2026. She was born in Saint Paul to David and Lucille Funkhouser on July 14, 1942 as the eldest of 7 children. 

She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Robert C. Oswald, and son Robert A. Oswald. She is survived by her children Thomas, Nancy (Lon), and Susan (Lawrence), and grandchildren Uma, Sam, Ethan, Greta, Alice, and Everett.

She attended Ancker Nursing school in Saint Paul before working at Fairview Riverside Hospital as an Orthopedic Nurse. Her reason for choosing nursing was because her friend was doing it and it seemed fun. Her instincts were correct and she enjoyed a long and rewarding career. In her free time, she loved traveling with her family, and particularly enjoyed long road trips around the United States and Europe. She delighted in taking in the landscapes and learning local history. Her other passions in life were tending her garden in Eagan and caring for her dogs.  

A service honoring her will take place at 10am, visitation 1 hour prior, on 2/6/2026 at the Lumen Christi Catholic Church in St. Paul.
