Loren L. Reyes

Loren Leo Reyes, 91, of Arden Hills, MN passed away on October 19th, 2025. He was born on
May 12th, 1934 in International Falls, MN
He served honorably for four years in the United States Navy. Shortly thereafter, he married
Donna Belle Spears in 1957. The two of them made their home in International Falls where
Loren worked at Boise Cascade in the test station until his retirement in 1996.
Loren and Donna started wintering in Casa Grande, AZ, then became permanent residents.
They shared 58 years of a beautiful marriage before Donna passed in 2016. Loren then
returned to MN, making his home in the Twin Cities to be close to family.
His family meant the world to him and that’s with whom he wanted to spend his time. Loren also
had a love for long walks well into his 80’s, rescue dogs, and beautifying his yard. He had a
humble heart and seemed to never utter a negative word about anyone.
Loren is survived by his two children, Steve Reyes (Kristi) and Lorna Reyes; grandchildren,
Joshua Murray (Heather), Stepheny Balderas (Rogelio), Chelsea Pressley (Ben);
great-grandchildren, Joseph Murray, Sophia Balderas, Alexander Pressley, Leo Balderas.
Mass of the Christian Burial on November 20th, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 2048
Hamline Ave. N., Roseville MN 55113. Visitation 9:00 a.m., Funeral 10:00 a.m., Luncheon to
follow. Burial at a later date in International Falls, MN.

The family sends a sincere thank you to Loren’s friend, Jan Alexander, who welcomed him to
senior living and showed him how to take advantage of opportunities. Thank you for keeping
him company. A special thank you to the staff at Johanna Shores Presbyterian Homes of Arden
Hills who showed Loren such dignified care throughout his residency. Your kind, caring, and
compassionate ways will be remembered always. Thank you also to Optage Hospice Care who
added that extra level of care in Loren’s last few months. Your genuine ways carried all of us
through until the end.
