Leslie M. Walters

Walters, Leslie Mary, Age 70, of Roseville, formerly of St. Paul, passed away in her sleep on January 10, 2025, after a long battle with kidney disease. Preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary (Sexton) Walters. Survived by her sister, Kathryn, and brothers John (Mary Lou) and David (Lynette); many cousins; and close friend Kevin O’Brien. Leslie was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism. She often contributed to local newspapers as a freelance writer.  An avid reader and film enthusiast, Leslie enjoyed recommending books and films to family and friends. She also appreciated many genres of music, and was a self-taught artist, favoring the painting of nature scenes. She will be deeply missed. No visitation; private interment at a later date. Memorials preferred to The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library, 332 Minnesota Street, Suite W1420, St. Paul, MN  55101.
