LOVING HUSBAND FATHER AND GRANDPA

Age 78

passed away peacefully on January 10, 2020. Beloved husband of 59 Years of Kathleen (Michaud), loving father of Michael (Lora), Beth Siegel (Randy), Susan, Thomas (Tanya) and Amy. Proud grandpa of Matthew, Adam, Jack and Ryan.

Also survived by brothers Bill (Barb), Terry (Tammy), sister Marie Weinhandl, brother in law Ken Michaud (Carol), sisters in law Barbara Meyers, Linda Schwartz and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Preceded in death by parents Leonard, Sr. and Ruth (Flynn) Schwartz, and brother Joe. Leonard graduated from Cretin High School in 1960 and attended the University of Minnesota. He owned and operated Schwartz Grocery & Meats and the Fashion Carousel stores for a number of years before going into the Real Estate business. He was a Realtor with Jambor Realty, Realty World and Realtor and Sales Manager at Coldwell Banker in Highland Park for a total of 35 years. Many of his customers were in the West End area of St. Paul where he grew up. He was proud of being chosen Realtor of the Year in 1999. He was active in the Fort Road Federation and the St. Paul Club. He was happiest when he was with his family at the cabin on Sand Lake near Cumberland, WI or at Sand Castle in Indian Shores, FL. Because of Covid there will be a private mass and burial. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 4th floor of Sholom Home East and Accent Care Hospice for their excellent care of Leonard.
