KENNEDY Laurence R. "Larry"

Age 88 of Stillwater passed away Nov 17 surrounded by family.  The youngest of 4, Larry was born in St. Paul on September 6, 1934 to Marion and A.D. Kennedy. Graduate of Nativity Grade School 1948, Cretin High School 1952, University of Notre Dame 1956, and St. Paul College of Law 1960. He married Suzy (Hager) in 1961 and together they raised 5 children. Larry was a career banker beginning 1956 at First National Bank of St. Paul. He and Suzy lived in St. Paul, Eagan, Mendota Heights and Stillwater. They enjoyed their retirement home on the St. Croix River, travel, sports, the Arts, reunions, social events with family, friends and grandchildren. Larry was a Loyal Son, involved in all the communities where he lived. He was guided by his faith and devoted to family and friends.

Predeceased by beloved wife, Suzy; siblings Kenny, Al (Ginny) and Gerry Heck (Bill); parents, and granddaughter Colleen Cassidy. Survived by children: Kate Cassidy (Tom), Sean (Sue Sheridan), Brigid Michalowicz (Bryan), Sheila Kennedy, and Mike (Sarah); grandchildren: Sheila McNelis (Joey), Jack Cassidy (Danielle), Danny and Joe Cassidy, Shilpa Kennedy, Peter, Clare and David Michalowicz, Riley and Nolan Brown, Charlie and Sam Kennedy, Chase Blair; in-laws Judy and Tom Reichert, Jim and Marie Hager; many nieces, nephews and life long friends.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, Wed, Nov 23, 2022. Visitation 1 hour prior, 9:30 AM, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church 1938 Stanford Ave, St. Paul. Live stream at nativitystpaul.org time of service. Memorials preferred to: Cretin-Derham Hall, St. Paul; Our Lady of Peace Hospice, St. Paul; or donor's choice. Interment Resurrection Cemetery after mass, lunch to follow. Special thanks to Lakeview Hospital staff for the compassionate care given to Larry.
