Laura J. Schoenbauer

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Laura Schoenbauer, who passed early Friday morning, the 18th of April. Laura was a wonderful mother, a treasured sister, and a loving daughter. Laura was a talented real estate Lawyer, practicing for over twenty-five years with Gray Plant Mooty in Minneapolis Minnesota. Laura loved her work, and not only cherished her mentorship opportunities but also all of her relationships she gained from the office. Laura was also a talented photographer, and after leaving Law spent much of her time taking, editing, and uploading her landscape photography. She has won numerous awards, including photography features in multiple volumes of Capture Minnesota books. Laura was also extremely adventurous. Before beginning her family, Laura was a world traveler, frequently going on international adventures in new places. She traveled to Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe. She lamented that she had never visited Oceana, but had hoped to one day make the journey with her children. The work she was the very most passionate about though was her work as a mother. She made it her life’s goal to give her two kids every opportunity they could have. From sports, to arts, to academics, she strived to make every avenue available to her children and ensure that they would never know any struggles. Spending time with her children was the most cherished time of her life. Laura is survived by her loving children, Julia and Nicholas Cornette; her mother Shirley Schoenbauer; and her siblings, Mary, Donna, Karen, Dolores, Judy, Christine, and Bill. She is preceded by her father Gilbert Schoenbauer; her sister Frances Merwin; and her Aunt Carol McDonald. Mass of Chirstian Burial Friday April 25th, 10:00 Am at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave. St. Paul.  Visitation one hour prior to the mass at church.
