Kent Lindberg Obituary

“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
- J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Kent Paul Lindberg, age 67 of Roseville, Minnesota died Monday, November 22, 2021 at his home after a brutal battle with ALS.

Kent was born on December 7, 1953 in Elgin, Illinois to John and Ruth (née Purkey) Lindberg. Kent completed his bachelor’s at St. Paul Bible College and his master’s at Wheaton College. He wore many hats throughout his work life but spent most of his career as a Claims Adjuster for SFM. Kent is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Steven Lindberg. Kent is survived by his wife of 44 years Korene; his son Timothy (Leslie) Lindberg of Morris, Minnesota; daughters Rebecca (Ryan) Moline of Hollandale, Minnesota and Kara (Jeremiah) Lindberg of Boise, Idaho. Kent is also survived by his brother Lane, sister Cindy (Carl), grandchildren Nadine, Leona, and Oliver, and his nephews and nieces.

Kent was a passionate and adventurous person. He loved rock climbing, camping, mountain biking, and yoga. He was in constant motion (literally and figuratively) working towards and achieving new goals he set for himself. He was an avid reader and could recommend the right book for anyone. He was observant; he was a writer and a thinker. Kent was goofy and loving, especially to his grandchildren who nicknamed him “Brecka”. He loved dogs and is now reunited in Heaven with his best friend Ella.

Memorial Service will be held 1pm Sunday with visitation one hour prior at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Ave. N., Roseville (651) 631-2727
