ERICKSON Kenneth
1924 - 2021
Kenneth Erickson was born on September 20, 1924 and was a life long resident of St Paul. He served in the Navy during WW II onboard the USS Wayne. After the war, he met and married Ada Mathes in 1948, Ken and Ada were married for 70 years until Ada’s death in 2018. They are survived by their three children Steven, Gary (Kathy), and Janice (Gary Edwards) and four granddaughters Jennifer, Kelly, Whitney, and Megan. Ken had many hobbies including competitive target shooting in which he was national champion, playing violin in the St Paul Civic Orchestra, and machine tool work, and hunting. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, had a busy dental practice as well as working at the Dental school. He loved working with the students and stayed on as a volunteer after retirement. It can truly be said that Kenneth Charles Erickson had a long and wonderful life. He passed on June 22, 2021 at the age of 96. He truly was a member of The Greatest Generation as well as a devout Christian and loyal family man. He was loved by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 11:00 AM at The Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 Hamline Avenue North, Roseville, MN. Visitation will be at 10:00am with interment at Ft. Snelling. Donations preferred to Health Partners Hospice.
