Judy Adam Obituary

Judy Ann Adam, age 77 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully at St. John’s Hospital surrounded by family on Monday April 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with a lengthy disease. She is preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Mazell Leonard; parents in-law Wilbert and Ida Adam; brothers -in-law Mark Pearson and Milton Weisz. She is survived by loving husband Larry; children Jodi (Mark) Heiden, Brian (Chrissy), Jeff (Alanna) and Brad (Ellie); grandchildren Allyson, Adam, Andrew, Anna, RJ, London and Lawson; brother Dennis (Nancy) Leonard and sister Donna Pearson; along with many nieces and nephews.

Judy was born on March 31, 1948 in Jamestown, ND. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1966. She met her future husband in second grade. Judy and Larry got married August 2, 1969 right after Larry graduated from college. Larry went into the service after college graduation for two years while they lived in Manhattan, KS. He went back to graduate school at UND in Grand Forks, ND. After graduation he worked in Kansas City, MO for two years. Judy worked for the phone company during that time. They moved from Kansas City to St. Paul in 1974 where they continue to reside. Judy worked for Saint Paul Public Schools Nutrition Services for nearly 30 years. She was also heavily involved with Sunday School and chaired the Property, Building and Grounds Committee for many years at Grace Lutheran Church. Judy and Larry have been married for over 55 loving years.

Judy treasured her time with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, spending time at their lake place in Lindstrom and riding on the pontoon, playing cards with friends, going out to eat, talking on the phone, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, going to concerts, attending family get togethers, drinking mojitos, getting her nails and hair done, going on cruises, traveling to the Oceana Palms Resort in West Palm Beach and planting flowers. She always made sure everyone felt welcomed. Family was the most important thing to her. She was deeply loved, will be greatly missed yet also leaves behind many wonderful shared memories. She will be kept in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 15th at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 8700 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury.
