Judith "Judy" Boehm Obituary

Judith B. Boehm (née Polsfuss), age 85, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. Born on August 1, 1940, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Ellsworth and Virginia Polsfuss, Judith lived a life marked by quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a generous heart.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in English, Judith nurtured a lifelong love of reading and learning. A lifelong member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Judith served her community in many ways, including as a wedding coordinator and through many years of volunteering in the church office.

Judith first met her beloved husband as a youth at church. They married in 1962 and had 14 years and three children together. After Richard’s passing at the age of 38, Judith courageously raised their young children while working full-time at Boehm Heating. Her resilience, compassion, and steadfast dedication to her family remain an enduring inspiration.

Judith always enjoyed a good chat session with friends and family. She will be remembered for her joyful laugh, her bright smile, and her warm, welcoming presence. She also had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and flowers, which she learned from her mother.

As a family, we are grateful to God that our parents are reunited.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Boehm; her parents, Ellsworth and Virginia Polsfuss; her brother, Terrence Polsfuss; her mother- and father-in-law, Edward and Margaret (Peg) Boehm; brother-in-law Thomas Boehm; and sisters-in-law Sandra Boehm and Bonita Boehm.

She is survived by her children and their spouses—Barbara (David) Lindsey, Mark (Lisa) Boehm, and William (Molly) Boehm; her cherished grandchildren—Ginia and Cameron Lindsey, Joseph and Daniel Boehm, and Hannah Boehm, Ella and Alec Endrizzi; along with brothers-in-law and their spouses—James (Judy) Boehm and John (Sheri) Boehm; and her dear sister-in-law, Janice Polsfuss; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Iris Park Commons/Episcopal Homes Memory Care for the compassion they showed Judith. We are also deeply grateful to Pastor Russ Myers for providing ministry and support that nurtured her spirit.
