age 65, of West St. Paul, died of complications from cancer on July 8 surrounded by his family.
Jim was a loving husband and father, loyal friend and colleague, and a dedicated sound engineer at venues across the Twin Cities and beyond for more than 45 years. Pfitz was a highly respected expert in his field and proud to be a mentor to many.
Jim is preceded in death by his father James M. Pfitzinger.
He is survived by his wife Julie, son James
(Courtney), daughter Claire, mother Joyce, sisters Mary Anne Pfitzinger and Barbara (Jerry) Hunt, brother Peter (Lori), brother-in-law Riley (Sarah) Kane, nieces Emily (Mark) and Alison Hunt and Frances Kane, nephew Ben Kane and uncle Russell (Stuart) Pfitzinger, as well as many friends.
A visitation will be held from 4pm-7pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home (575 Snelling Ave. S). A funeral service will be held at 11am on August 10, 2023, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral (519 Oak Grove St.) The service will be live-streamed at http://bit.ly/Pfitz23 A public visitation will begin at 10am.
Private interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
