Passed away of Natural causes on Friday 5/13/2022 in her home at Eagan Pointe Senior Living. Her parents: Peter Grohs and Christine Grohs (Fridgen ) raised Jean and 8 siblings : Sisters- Esther Peickert, Helen Schaffer, Margaret Diehl, Marie Hyland, and her Brothers- Michael, Clement, Joseph, Raymond and their dog Rex the family farm in Dumont MN.
Jean has many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces who will miss her dearly. Jean moved away from the family farm to earn her degree at the Minnesota School of business, in which she then pursued her career at the Veterans Hospital of Minnesota as a Lab Technician. Jean and Gerald Nash were married on July 13, 1971, at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, MN.
Predeceased by her parents all 8 siblings and husband Gerald E. Nash. Jean retired from the VA Hospital and loved living in Eagan MN. She enjoyed her home and attending to flowers and birds visiting her backyard spring through fall, in which her favorite birds the Red Cardinal and Red Robin often came. Family gatherings throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, along with shopping at the Mall of America were event she enjoyed. Many road trips back home and to White Fish Lake WI, to enjoy pontoon, jet boat and water bike excursions she would drive to for weekend getaways. Her fantastic smile, family history knowledge shared stories and extreme kindness will be in the hearts of her surviving family to reflect and remember her on. Jean’s Catholic faith was a priority in her lifetime, and she was a very active member with Saint John Neumann Catholic Church and wishes for any donations on her behalf be made to her church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am, Thursday, June 9th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knot Rd, Eagan, MN, with a gathering 1 hour prior. The service can be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/user/SJNChannel
