James J. Sear
Age 77 of St. Paul Minnesota. Our beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, grand uncle left us on December 1, 2020. In Jim’s younger years, he enjoyed traveling with family and friends and playing poker and cribbage with his friends, brothers-in-law and nephews. He also enjoyed his weekends fishing and spending time with family at his cabin in Northern Wisconsin. Jim laughed the loudest watching the ‘Family Man’, doing scratch-offs and watching many episodes of NCIS definitely made his day, and eating jelly rolls always brought a smile to his face. He was quiet, easy going, gentle, had a quirky sense of humor, and prided himself on being frugal. He worked diligently and hard all his life at different jobs and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
Jim was a brother in the Sear/Belden family and is preceded in death by his parents, Red and Kate Belden, James A. and Vickie Sear, brother Dennis, sisters, Charlene, Irene, Deborah, and brothers-in-law Russ, Skip and Mike. He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy, Kathy, Anita (Jim), Annette (Tom), Jackie and many, many nieces, nephews, great and grand and many close family friends. He was dearly loved by all his family but especially by Kelly Clapper, niece and caretaker for the last five years of his life.
A private family viewing will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Interment at Fort Snelling and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to Veteran charities.
