Navin, Jake P.
Age 22 of St. Paul, died peacefully at home on October 10, 2017. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Sally Austin. Survived by his mother, Christina Austin (Brian); father, Steve; brothers, Austin and Scott; grandparents, John and Mary; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved cat, Bruce. Jake graduated from St. Marks Catholic School, Cretin-Derham in 2013, and St. Thomas in 2017.

Jake is sweet, charming, lovable, kind, feisty and strong willed. We will miss his witty personality. There aren't words to express how deeply he touched our lives. With all his positive qualities, he leaves behind lots of broken hearts for a life that ended too young. We love Jake and cherish the years we knew him. His smile will be forever remembered. We are so proud of our son Jake for graduating from UST, class of 2017.

Jake had a passion for sports. There are many fond memories of cheering for Jake and his sports teams. Jake saved many goals for Highland-Central, Como-Johnson, and Wessy's. Jake ran around the soccer field for St. Mark's, Merriam Park, and Cretin-Derham Hall. Jake also played baseball for St. Mark's, Midway, and HGRA.

Although Jake grew up in a family of sportsman who hunt and fish Jake was not much one to hunt. He loved going on the trips to South Dakota and the hunting shack to be with his Dad, brothers, uncles, and friends.

Jake was a part of the CFO Christian Community. He spent many summers up at Lake Koronis with his Mother, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jake is forever in our hearts. We will miss his sweet face.

Visitation 4-8 pm Monday, October 16 at O’HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul, 651-698-0796. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Tuesday, October 17 at ST. MARK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2001 Dayton Ave, at Moore St., St. Paul, with visitation beginning at 9 am and a lunch to follow Mass.
