Canfield, Jack W. Jr. age 85 of New Brighton went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2025. Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elizabeth; second mom, Amy and great nephew, Jake Kolflat. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Christine; children, Eric (Alissa); Elizabeth (Jody) Wolf; grandchildren, Lacey (Collin) Luckett, Jackson (Hannah), Griffin (Taylor) Wolf, Garrett, Cale, Lily Rose, Emma, and Clay; great grandchildren, Mason, Annabelle, Tucker Jack, and great grand baby Wolf arriving in September; sister Nancy(John) Winiecki; many nieces, nephews and many friends. Jack was born and raised on a pig farm in Roseville, he graduated from Mounds View High School . He served his country honorably in the Air Force as an Airplane Mechanic from 1961 - 1967. Attaining the achievement of Airmen of the year. Jack married the love of his life Christine in 1962 and they moved to New Brighton where they raised their family. Jack opened the first of 3 J C Auto Supply stores in New Brighton, he then expanded the family business to Rogers and Lexington. He enjoyed the Back to the 50’s Car Show; he also enjoyed singing and playing bass with the 4Plus guitar group at neighborhood events and particularly at local nursing homes. He was very supportive of his neighborhood and surrounding communities. Jack was always available to serve at their church , he also enjoyed time with family at the cabin and vacations to Sanibel Island. Jack and Christine were blessed with 62 years of marriage together.
He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Jack’s legacy of joy and authenticity in every relationship, selfless stewardship and generosity to those in need, and steadfast love and devotion to his family lives on through us. It is our honor to carry his legacy forward each day.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 7th 11 am at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 8211 Red Oak Drive, Mounds View. Visitation one prior to the service. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorials preferred to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church or donor’s choice. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Mercy Hospital for the care they provided to Jack.
