Age 75 of Dellwood, MN, passed away peacefully on October 30th, 2023, surrounded by friends and family.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Helen followed in her mother Eleanor’s footsteps in attending the Convent of the Visitation High School. She met her husband and love of her life, Jim, during high school. Passionate about healing and empowerment, Helen pursued a degree in occupational therapy at St. Catherine University. For over 30 years, she touched lives with her dedication and care. Helen was not just a remarkable therapist; she was an incredible mother, instilling in her two daughters the ethos of making the world a kinder, gentler place. A lover of the outdoors, Helen embraced life with joy, whether downhill skiing in the winter, or swimming, slalom water skiing or sailing on her beloved Lake of the Woods in the summer. Her adventurous spirit and vivacity made her the life of every party.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Eleanor; brother, Tony; and son in law, Vishwam Sankar.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jim; daughters, Annie (Eric Fung) and Laura; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kiran, and Rory; siblings, Tom (Lynn) and Joe (Ann); good friend, Kelly Hemme; and other loving friends and family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 4:00 – 6:00 PM, with memorial service 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at O’Halloran and Murphy, 575 Snelling Ave. S, St. Paul. A private family interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.

The service will be livestreamed starting at 6pm CST on the O’Halloran Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Convent of the Visitation School.
